Dispatch system for taxi and transport companies

Your whole taxi company in one view, under your own name.

Ridano is a taxi company’s own dispatch system. Bookings go from the customer’s phone straight onto the map, drivers accept rides on their own phones and you see everything in real time. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install.

What Ridano is

One platform, but every company gets its own system

Ridano is not a shared taxi pool or a dispatch centre that takes a cut of every ride. Each company gets its own address, its own database, its own fares and its own look. Ridano is the tool a company uses to run its own dispatch – not a middleman between the company and its customers.

Your customersCustomers book at your address and see your name. The customer relationship stays with you, not with the platform.
Your faresYou set the fares. Ridano does not set prices and takes no share of the ride.
Your dataYou never see another company’s rides, drivers or customers, and they never see yours.

One system, three views

Everyone sees what their own job requires

The same bookings, the same vehicles and the same map – but the role decides what each person sees and may do. Drivers do not see company settings and customers do not see other people’s rides.

Dispatch and admin

For the owner and the dispatcher. Works on a computer, tablet and phone.

  • A map showing every vehicle, its status and all open bookings
  • Taking bookings, dispatching them to drivers and following their status
  • Drivers: name, phone, role and login details. You reset passwords and PIN codes yourself.
  • Vehicle register: plate, make, model, year, seats and type
  • Vehicle groups by shift and area
  • Fares, service area, company name, logo and colours
  • Ride history with customer ratings

computer · tablet · phone

Driver

On the driver’s own phone. No app store, no installation.

  • Start and end a shift and choose the vehicle for it
  • Open bookings nearby: accept a ride or return it to the queue
  • Status with one tap: free, busy or on break
  • Location is shared with dispatch automatically during the shift
  • Mark a ride as completed or as a no-show
  • Enter a ride yourself when a passenger walks straight up to the car
  • Opens in the phone’s language

phone browser

Customer

Your company’s own booking page, which customers can save to their home screen.

  • Book a taxi on the map: pick-up, destination and number of passengers
  • A price estimate before booking, using your own fares
  • Pre-booking for a later time
  • Follow the approaching car on the map, with its plate number
  • Cancel a booking and rate the ride
  • A booking link you can give to hotels and business customers

Dispatch view

The whole situation at a glance

The map and the booking queue share one screen, so you never switch views in the middle of a call. Every change appears instantly, without reloading the page.

  1. 01Vehicle status in colourGreen is free, yellow busy, purple on break and grey off duty. The status colours are the same for every company, so nobody has to learn them twice.
  2. 02Customer location and routeThe blue dot is the customer, the dashed line the ride in progress. You see at once who is too far away and who will make it.
  3. 03Service area on the mapThe drawn area is shown in the background. A booking from outside it triggers a warning.
  4. 04Booking queue in time orderA new booking goes to the top. The colour bar shows its status without reading.
  5. 05Pre-bookings as their own groupTomorrow’s rides do not mix with the current ones. A pre-booking can be locked to a specific vehicle.
  6. 06Search and countersSearch by plate, customer name or address. One line tells you how many vehicles are free right now.

Driver view

One tap, so driving is never interrupted

The driver opens your company’s address in the phone browser and logs in. Nothing is installed from an app store, so a new driver can be on the road the same day. The view is built to be used with one hand and a quick glance.

  1. 01Status and vehicle at the topThe driver sees at once which vehicle they are logged into and whether they are free. The status button is coloured by status.
  2. 02The offered ride, largePick-up, destination, estimated fare and distance. Accept or skip – a skipped ride goes to the next driver.
  3. 03Enter a ride yourselfWhen a passenger comes straight to the car, the driver records the ride in the same view. It goes into the same ride history and billing.
  4. 04A break without logging outDuring a break the location is still visible to dispatch, but no rides are offered. Ending a shift is different from taking a break.
  5. 05Vehicle fault reportThe driver reports a fault straight from the phone, together with the plate number, so the information is not lost in a phone call.

Customer view

Customers book without an app and without signing up

The customer opens the link and books. Logging in is useful for saving addresses and seeing past rides, but it is not required for a single booking. That matters for occasional customers, who will not download a new app for one ride.

Price estimate before bookingThe estimate uses your fares and the time of day, so the customer knows roughly what the ride will cost.
Follow the approaching carPlate number and the car’s position on the map, so the customer does not wait in the wrong place.
A booking link to shareGive the link to hotels, restaurants and business customers. They book directly from you, not from a shared dispatch centre.
Rating after the rideThe customer gives stars, and you see them per driver in the admin view.

A ride from start to finish

How a booking moves through Ridano

Every stage of a ride updates for everyone at the same moment. Dispatch sees the change on the map, the driver on the phone and the customer on the booking page.

  1. 01Customer

    Booking

The customer chooses pick-up and destination and sees a price estimate. The booking appears in dispatch immediately.

  2. 02Driver / dispatcher

    Dispatch

The ride is offered to the nearest free vehicle, or the dispatcher assigns it to a specific one. Bookings from outside the service area trigger a warning.

  3. 03Everyone

    Pick-up

The customer sees the approaching car and its plate. If the customer does not show up, the driver marks it.

  4. 04Driver

    The ride

The ride is priced with your fares according to the time: day, night, holiday or van.

  5. 05Customer and owner

    Completion

The driver marks the ride as completed, the customer can rate it and the ride is saved in the history.

Pre-bookings

Tomorrow’s ride must not get lost in today’s queue

A pre-booking waits in its own list until its time comes. It is then offered first to the locked vehicle and released to others only if that vehicle does not take it. A regular customer’s morning ride goes to the agreed driver, but is never left undone if something goes wrong.

−60 min

Waiting in the list

Not offered to anyone.

−30 min

Offered to the locked vehicle

Declining does not release the ride – it is offered again after a short pause.

−15 min

Released to everyone

The nearest free vehicle gets the ride.

Pick-up0 min
Timeline for offering a pre-booking, with default values. The values are set per company – see the settings page.

Both limits can be adjusted: offering can start earlier and the release can come later. The defaults suit city driving; in rural areas it is worth starting earlier.

Fares

You decide the fares, not the system

Ridano does not set prices and takes no commission on rides. You pay only the monthly fee, and all ride revenue stays with your company.

Four pricing modelsTime and distance, distance only, time only or a flat fare. A minimum fare can be set for all of them.
Separate fares by timeDifferent prices for day, night, weekends and holidays, and separately for vans.
Your currencyPrices are shown in the local currency – for example kronor in Sweden and francs in Switzerland.

5 kmOUTSIDE THE AREA
The service area can be a radius from a centre point or any shape drawn on the map.

Your brand

Customers see your company, not Ridano

The booking page and the driver view show your company’s name, logo and colours. Customers save your icon to their home screen, and the privacy notice names your company as the data controller. The only colours that stay the same for everyone are the map status colours – a shared language that should not change from company to company.

Languages

Ten languages – for drivers and customers too

Ridano is built for the whole European market. The website, admin, driver view and customer booking page all open in the device’s language. Users can switch language themselves and the choice is remembered. Arabic is laid out right to left, not just translated.

Device language

No language menu first

The page opens directly in the user’s language. An unsupported language falls back cleanly to the default instead of showing empty gaps.

Company default

You choose the default

The company sets its own default language, used for example in e-mails and printouts.

Terms of service

The Finnish version prevails

The terms of service are translated into every language. In case of conflict the Finnish version prevails, and the translations say so too.

Security and data

Your company’s data stays your company’s data

A taxi company’s system holds people’s home addresses, travel details and phone numbers. It has to be handled accordingly.

Separate database

You see only your own

Every company has its own database. You never see another company’s rides, drivers or customers, and they never see yours.

Permissions by role

Everyone logs in with their own account. Drivers can act only on their own rides, and customers never see other people’s bookings.

Retention

Data is not kept forever

Rides are visible for 12 months and deleted after 24 months. Data on drivers and vehicles taken out of use is deleted after 12 months.

EU and GDPR

A service from Europe

The service is run by the Finnish company Oy Suomen Taksivälitys – Taxi Finland Ltd, and the servers are located in Finland. A privacy notice template is included.

Pricing

You pay only for what you use

No setup fee, no minimum term and no commission on rides.

€39 / month
The base fee of €39 / month includes one administrator.
+ €10 / month per vehicle
+ €5 / month per driver
  • Prices include VAT. Businesses in other countries with a valid VAT number are invoiced without VAT (reverse charge). No setup fee, no minimum term.
  • A 14-day trial. Your card is not charged during the trial.
  • Billed monthly. Vehicles and drivers are counted by the highest number during the month: a vehicle added mid-month is billed for the full month, and removing one does not reduce the current month.
  • You can cancel at any time. Access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Read the terms of service and limitation of liability

Frequently asked

Questions before you start

Does Ridano replace the taximeter?

No. Ridano is a booking and dispatch system. The statutory taximeter and its recording requirements in your country still apply.

Do drivers have to install an app?

No. The driver opens your company’s address in the phone browser and logs in. The view can be saved to the home screen like an app.

Can I use my own domain?

Every company gets an address of the form yourcompany.ridano.app. You can link to it from your own website.

Which languages are supported?

Finnish, Swedish, English, Estonian, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese. The view opens in the device’s language and users can switch it themselves.

Does Ridano work outside Finland?

Yes. Ridano is built for European taxi and transport companies. Pricing, service area, currency and language are set per company.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

The account is closed at the end of the paid period. Your data is kept, so if you come back you continue where you left off. On request the data is deleted completely.

Is there a commission on rides?

No. You pay only the monthly fee. Ride prices and revenue belong entirely to your company.

Can one company have several trials?

No. A company gets the trial once; after that the service is paid.

What if a driver’s phone loses connection?

The vehicle stays on the dispatch map at its last known position. When the connection returns, the status updates. A ride in progress is not lost.

Can the dispatcher work from a phone?

Yes. The dispatch view adapts to a phone screen. Many small companies run their dispatch from a phone in practice.
