Terms of use and limitation of liability

Ridano · 1.0 · 2026-09-16

These terms govern the use of the Ridano software. The supplier of the software is referred to as the "Supplier" and the company using it as the "Customer". In case of any discrepancy between language versions, the Finnish version prevails.

1. Nature of the service

Ridano is a dispatch system with which the Customer manages its own rides, vehicles and drivers. The Supplier is not a party to the transport service and does not dispatch rides on its own account. The Customer is responsible for its transport service towards passengers, authorities and its contracting partners.

2. Provided as is

The software is provided as it stands at any given time. The Supplier does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it is fit for any particular purpose. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, disruptions or a third-party service (for example network connection, map service, payment processing or email delivery).

3. Limitation of liability

The Supplier is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. These include, among others, loss of income, loss of business profit, lost orders, loss of goodwill, contractual penalties, compensation payable to third parties and loss of data. The Supplier's total liability for all claims relating to one contract year is limited to the amount the Customer has paid for the service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

4. What cannot be limited

The above limitations do not apply to damage caused by the Supplier intentionally or through gross negligence, nor to personal injury or other liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law. If the Customer is a consumer, the terms apply only to the extent permitted by consumer protection law.

5. Customer responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for the data it enters into the system, for keeping user credentials safe, for the actions of its own users and for ensuring that its operations comply with licences and legislation. The Customer is the controller of the personal data of its own passengers and drivers; the Supplier acts as processor and processes the data only to provide the service.

6. Backups and data

The Supplier strives to preserve the data, but the Customer is responsible for keeping its own copy of data essential to it. When the service ends, the Customer is entitled to receive its data in a machine-readable format.

7. Changes to the terms

The Supplier may change the terms by notifying the Customer at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect. If the Customer does not accept the change, it may terminate the agreement effective on the date the change takes effect.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms and the service are governed by Finnish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation. If this fails, the dispute shall be settled by the district court of the Supplier's domicile. A consumer customer always has the right to bring an action in the district court of their own domicile and to refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board.

9. Severability

If any provision of the terms is found invalid or unenforceable, this does not affect the validity of the other provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a lawful provision that comes as close as possible to its purpose.
